The internal election process for the leadership of Hamas will begin on Friday in the Gaza Strip and abroad, the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds reported on Monday.
The process began in the West Bank last week in complete secrecy for fear it may be thwarted by Israel or the Palestinian Authority. The election process is expected to end in a few weeks as the elections among prisoners of Hamas in Israel have already ended.
