Defense Minister Benny Gantz referred to the recent speeches of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar, and warned of a grave response to any hostilities against Israel.
"[If Hezbollah acts against Israel], Lebanon will tremble and the houses where they hide their weapons caches will become nothing but ruins. The state of Lebanon will be responsible for any aggression that comes from it," said Gantz.
"As for Gaza, what was is not what will be. If need be - we will act again. We aspire for calm and rehabilitation in Gaza with the help of the world and the Palestinian Authority," added the defense minister. "If Hamas will choose to prevent the rehabilitation of Gaza and its residents, we will act until we reach a calm that will serve everyone. "
