The Health Ministry reported Tuesday morning that 3,662 new coronavirus cases had been diagnosed the previous day.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic rose to 5,922.
Out of 38,650 active patients, 668 are in serious condition, with 212 connected to ventilators.
