Defense Minister Naftali Bennett said on Monday he was presented with a significant breakthrough in finding a cure for coronavirus during a visit to the Israeli Institute for Biological Research in Ness Ziona.
Bennett's bureau noted that it is a monoclonal antibody (an antibody that is made by identical immune cells that are all clones of a unique parent cell) that attacks the virus and can neutralize it in the body of the patient.
Researches told Bennett that the development phase of the antibody was done and the next step is to patent the treatment and contact international companies that could produce it in commercial quantities.
