Likud bigwig Bitan rejects ministry appointment after criticism

|
Senior Likud MK and former coalition chairman David Bitan, whom the police have recommended be indicted on multiple charges of bribery, says he is giving up his new post as agriculture minister.
The move comes after criticism of the decision by the High Court. Benjamin Netanyahu tapped Bitan for the position after the prime minister resigned from all his ministerial posts due his own fraud, breach of trust and bribery charges.
