The Shin Bet issued a response to the serious incident near Ramallah, in which a Shin Bet force accidentally shot at an Israeli vehicle.
"During an activity in the Bir Zeit area, a vehicle drove rapidly towards the force after hitting another vehicle. The force that thought [the vehicle] was a car bomb opened fired at the vehicle," said the organization in a statement. "No one was injured in the shooting. Preliminary investigation in the field reveals that this is not an attempted attack."
