Supreme Court Justice Meni Mazuz renounced the directive of Public Security Minister Amir Ohana, not to vaccinate prisoners against the coronavirus.
"[Ohana] is not authorized to order the IPS commissioner not to provide medical treatment to a prisoner or detainee. The very fact that the respondent is a public figure does not give him the authority to act as he wishes, in violation of the law, in violation of human rights, and to order IPS officials to act illegally."
