Over 1.7 million Israelis got 1st dose of virus shot so far, Edelstein says

Over 1.7 million Israelis have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine since the country launched its inoculation drive, Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said Friday morning, about 115,000 of them were vaccinated on Thursday alone.
Edelstein, who was the second Israeli to get the shot after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is scheduled to get the second vaccine dose Saturday night.
