IDF panel mulls medal for soldiers who served in South Lebanon

IDF chief of staff Aviv Kochavi appointed on Tuesday a special committee to look into the possibility of awarding a campaign medal for soldiers whos served at the Southern Lebanon Security Belt from 1985 to 2000.
The panel will be headed by former IDF chief Shaul Mofaz and will give its recommendations on the matter to Kochavi and Defense Minister Benny Gantz in the coming months.
