Former Yisrael Beitenu MK and deputy interior minister Faina Kirschenbaum has been convicted on Thursday on multiple counts of bribery, money laundering, fraud and breach of trust and tax offenses.
Kirschenbaum is the main suspect in a large-scale corruption case that has become to be known as the "Yisrael Beitenu Affair" as it involved numerous individuals associated with the party.
The Tel Aviv District Court will announce her sentence on another date.
Judge Yaron Levy noted in the verdict that Kirschenbaum "systematically and cunningly took bribes. She made explicit bribery agreements at the expense of the public."
