Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman said Netanyahu is not being truthful when calling for a unity government. In a post on his Facebook page Liberman said that if there is genuine intent to form an emergency unity government, it must be made up of the two major parties and must not include the members of Netanyahu's right-wing and religious parliamentary bloc that includes the ultra-Orthodox and far-right parties.
"Because I've known Netanyahu for a while I am convinced his call for unity is in order to be able to play the blame game and not a real intent. He would like another election cycle to be held in six to eight months with the coronavirus pandemic used to propel him into power," Liberman said.
