A Jerusalem police officer was injured on Wednesday, in an assult in the East Jerusalem quarter of Issawiya. Two men attacked the officer causing him a head injury and escaped.
The officer was taken to hospital for treatment and a manhunt is underway to find the assailants.
Earlier in the evening, a police vehicle was damaged by stones hurled at it during a police search for weapons in a home in the neighborhood.
Officers uncovered a an Airsoft gun and ammunition in their search, arrested one man.
