Health Ministry illegally tracks phones of virus patients without them knowing

The Health Ministry has been illegally tracking the cellphones of 144,000 verified coronavirus patients for a month without them knowing, Ynet has learned on Friday.
The ministry reported to Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that due to "a computer malfunction", it had failed to notify patients from December 13 to January 12 they were being tracked as mandated by law.
