Blue & White said on Monday Knesset will hear Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bid for parliamentary immunity before the next general elections, scheduled to be held on March 2, despite the incumbent's efforts to prevent such a move.
"Despite Netanyahu's attempts to prevent the immunity hearings, they will begin next week and end before the elections," read the statement.
Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein announced earlier Sunday he would allow a full plenum vote on whether to establish a special committee to weigh Netanyahu's request for parliamentary immunity from prosecution on charges of bribery, breach of trust and fraud.
