Israel has launched a diplomatic effort involving regional and western countries to reach a strategic regional defense pact, Hebrew language Kan radio reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi discussed the initiative with his counterparts in the UAE and in Bahrain.
