Hamas attacked the opinion piece written by the UAE ambassador to Washington, Yousef Al Otaiba, and published by Ynet on Friday.
"All the parties who aspire to normalize with the occupation must stop,” the group said, "as it only serves the Zionist project, encourages it to continue its aggression against our people and holy places, and is a stab on the back of our people."
In his opinion piece, Al Otaiba says that the UAE sees potential in relations with Israel, adding, "we would like to believe Israel is an opportunity, not an enemy."
