Cabinet ministers on Friday voted in favor of opening the Taba border crossing to allow Israelis who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from the disease to travel to the Sinai Peninsula starting Tuesday.
According to regulations approved by the government, the Airports Authority will initially limit the number of departures and arrivals through the Taba border crossing to 300 departures and 300 arrivals a day.
This will be down through a limited sale of the crossing permits, and at the time of departure, travelers will be required to present the payment confirmation for the requested day.
