Minister Ze'ev Elkin decided on Monday to terminate Tiberias Mayor Ron Kobi's term, after a municipal budget for the city was not approved as well as during the extension period set for September 30.
According to the law, a council that does not approve a budget until the date set by the Interior Ministry will be dispersed. Therefore, the term of office of the council members, including the mayor, was terminated.
