PA, U.S. hold official talks for first time since fallout under Trump

The Palestinian Authority's (PA) Israel coordinator, Hussein a-Sheikh, spoke with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli-Palestinian Affairs Hady Amr on Monday in the first public contact between the PA and the United States since the Palestinians severed ties in 2020 in protest of former President Donald Trump's proposed peace plan, which they deemed as leaning in Israel's favor.
