Report attempts underway by Egypt to reach Gaza ceasefire

An Egyptian security delegation is heading to mediate between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza in order to reach a ceasefire, Al Arabiya reported Tuesday.
According to the report, Cairo requested Israel halt all airstrikes in Gaza unconditionally. In return, Israel asked Egypt to halt the rocket fire from Gaza.
Egypt has reportedly contacted Palestinian militant groups in Gaza on the matter.
