The Health Ministry reported on Friday 1,225 cases of coronavirus have been detected out of some 63,000 tests conducted in the previous 24 hours, meaning 1.9% of all tests came back positive — the lowest such figure since December 1.
There were 558 coronavirus patients hospitalized in serious condition, 206 of them were connected to ventilators.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Israel, 6,071 people have succumbed to the disease, one of them onFriday and six others on Thursday.
