Four Israelis succumbed to COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus, in the last 24 hours, bringing Israel's total virus fatalities to 264, the Health Ministry reported Wednesday evening.
Only 19 new patients have been tested positive for the pathogen in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the pandemic in Israel, 16,548 Israelis have been diagnosed with coronavirus.
There are currently 4,052 patients still battling the virus, 134 fewer than 24 hours earlier. The number of patients in serious condition dropped by 6 to 61 and the number of patients receiving respiratory support dropped by 3 to 52.
