Coronavirus cabinet to convene at 12pm, discuss possible sweeping restrictions

Israel's ministerial coronavirus cabinet is set to convene at 12pm on Thursday after more than 3,000 new cases of the virus were diagnosed on Wednesday, a national record.
Coronavirus czar Prof. Ronni Gamzu was expected to demand that the government impose further restrictions on "red" coronavirus hotspots, including shuttering schools and implementing curfews and possible lockdowns.
