Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on Sunday confirmed he will assume the post of acting state attorney, replacing Dan Eldad, after the High Court issued a temporary injunction preventing Eldad from fulfilling the position further.
The High Court's ruling came after a group of lawyers petitioned the court, saying it was “unreasonable” for the justice minister to extend Eldad’s tenure during an interim government.
