Record breaking 228 people on ventilators as new daily case count reaches 4,579

The Health Ministry on Monday night reported the the daily number of new infections from COVID-19 had risen to 4,579 with a record breaking 228 seriously ill patients on ventilators.
As many as 15 people have died from coronavirus since midnight and 880 people hospitalized in serious condition.
Israel's fatality toll has now reached 1,757 since the start of the pandemic.
