Interim Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took off for Uganda on Monday morning. saying he hoped the trip would bring for "good news."
"I am going on my fifth visit to Africa in three and a half years," Netanyahu said as he prepared to leave from Tel Aviv. "These are very important ties on the diplomatic, economic and defense fronts."
He added: I hope that at the end of the day we will have very good news for the State of Israel."
The prime minister is expected to meet with leaders from African nations with which Israel does not have formal ties.
