Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, who reached the Belgium city of Brussels for a summit attended by 27 foreign ministers from across the European Union, met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Monday.
The Foreign Minister's Office stated that Lapid noted at the meeting that "Israel and the [NATO] share the same values and perception regarding the challenges and threats in the region."
It was also reported that "Lapid expressed Israel's desire to deepen cooperation with the Alliance and a willingness to work together to assist the Alliance with several matters," including intelligence gathering, cybersecurity and counter terrorisms.
