With 2,255 new coronavirus cases diagnosed Tuesday, Israel posted its lowest national infection rate since July with 5.08%.
The Health Ministry reported that 44,369 coronavirus tests were conducted Tuesday.
Also reported were 15 additional virus-realted deaths, putting the death toll since the start of the pandemic at 2,055.
Out of the 48,015 patients currently battling the pathogen, 808 are in serious condition, with 240 connected to ventilators.
