Israel sees 5,577 new coronavirus cases, 17 dead since midnight, Health Ministry says

The Health Ministry on Wednesday evening said that since midnight, 5,577 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed after 60,000 tests conducted, indicating a 9.3% positivity rate.
The ministry also reported 17 people have died from complications of the virus bringing the national death toll since the start of the pandemic to 4,174.
There are 1,163 people in serious condition being treated in hospitals with 320 of them on ventilators.
