The Education Ministry says that first and second graders will return to school for four days each week instead of three, following pressure from parents and local authorities.
The children will study in groups of 18 while in the classroom and study from home for the other three days of the school week.
Education Minister Yoav Galant says that schools can even bring those students back for five days if they are equipped to do so.
