Opposition Leader Yair Lapid says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “failed” in his management of the coronavirus pandemic.
“This government needs to be put on unpaid leave, and quickly,” Lapid says in his opening remarks at a Yesh Atid-Telem faction meeting, referring to hundreds of thousands of Israelis currently on a leave of absence without salary following the first national lockdown in late March.
