Number of seriously ill COVID patients on the decline

There were 669 new cases of coronavirus confirmed on Sunday, the Health Ministry said Monday morning after 47,986 tests conducted, indicating a 1.5% positivity rate.
Hospitals were treating 529 patients in serious condition because of COVID-19 complications down from 631 a week ago, with 211 of them on ventilators.
Since the start of the pandemic, 6,098 people have succumbed to the virus.
