PM: Lebanon, Syria responsible for attacks on Israel from their territory

|
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday warned that Israel would hold the Syria and Lebanese authorities responsible for any attacks from their respective territory.
The warning came amid growing concern that Hezbollah would target Israel in response to an airstrike in Damascus attributed to the IDF in which a Hezbollah operative was killed.
"We will not allow Iran to establish a military base on our northern border," said Netanyahu.
"Lebanon and Syria are responsible for any attack against Israel from their territory," he said.
"Together with the defense minister and the IDF chief of staff, I am conducting an ongoing assessment of the situation. The IDF is prepared to respond to any threat. "
