Deputy health minister: if virus cases overwhelm health system, lockdown inevitable

|
After protests by ultra-Orthodox lawmakers over the possibility Israel would go into lockdown during the High Holy Days, Deputy Health Minister Yoav Kish said on Sunday that Israel will have to take such measures with the holidays lead to extensive coronavirus infection.
"If hospitals become overwhelmed and the health care system will be unable to give treatment, there will be a lockdown," said Kish. "There will be no compromise here."
