Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit remarked on the growing calls of threats against high-ranking judicial officials on Tuesday during the Annual State Prospectors Convention in Eliat, following last week's announcement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's indictment in three corruption cases.
"The fact the State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan, and Tel Aviv District Attorney Liat Ben Ari, are walking around with bodyguards just because they did their job is grossly unacceptable", said Mandelblit.
"I hear unacceptable things said in the public's debate against the justice system and its officials. I hear threats, lies and baseless denials. This is outrages", he added.
