Foreign Affairs Ministry condemns coup in Myanmar

A day after the military coup in Myanmar, the Foreign Affairs Ministry announced that "Israel is following the situation in Myanmar and is calling for the release of the Prime Minister Aung San Suu Kyi, and the other leaders and public figures that were arrested."
"Israel continues to support the Myanmar people and the process of democratization and calls for peace, quiet and the rule of law in the country and for the prevention of violence," the ministry added.
