Acting Israel Police Commissioner Motti Cohen on Thursday urged the public to refrain from violence if they go out to protest.
"Recently, we have witnessed a large number of protests across the country in light of the complex reality we have all been encountering," he said. "Unfortunately, some of the protests lead to vandalism and we will not tolerate this. It is allowed to protest but you must not be dragged into violence of any kind."
