Two Israelis who contracted the coronavirus on the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship have been transported to a Japanese military hospital located 70 miles north of the port city of Yokohama where the liner is docked.
Another Israeli who was diagnosed with the virus was transported for quarantine at a hospital in Tokyo.
The remaining Israelis were expected to return to Israel whereupon they would be sent directly for quarantine at Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv.
