The Health Ministry reported Sunday morning 2,651 new cases of the novel coronavirus.
Health authorities conducted 30,253 coronavirus tests, meaning 8.8% of tests produced a positive result.
The number of coronavirus patients in serious condition declined in the last 24 hours from 495-490 and the number of patients on ventilators dropped from 138 to 130.
Since the onset of the pandemic in Israel, 1,103 people have passed away after contracting coronavirus.
