The Health Ministry Sunday evening reported that 917 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed since midnight.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic stands at 2,996.
Out of the 16,801 patients currently battling the disease, 349 are in serious condition, with 102 connected to ventilators.
