The families of the victims of the Mount Meron disaster told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a letter on Sunday that they demand a national commission of inquiry be established to probe the tragedy that caused the death of 45 people and wounded many more in a stampede during Lag Ba'Omer celebrations last month.
The Knesset will vote on Monday on a Yesh Atid proposal to convene the commission, though ultra-Orthodox parties campaign for a more limited public probe.
