President Reuven Rivlin says he feels a sense of shame over the latest election campaign.
"I have been part of Israel's elections almost form the very beginning, " said Rivlin, "we always saw the elections as a day of celebration of our democracy, today though there is no feeling of celebration, there is a feeling of deep shame, " the president said.
"We simply do not deserve another terrible election campaign with such levels of filth," Rivlin added.
