Despite the Ministry of Health guidelines for Israelis returning from countries in the Far East to stay in isolation for fear of being infected with the coronavirus, El Al's aircrews will not be required to do so, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
El Al staff will only be exempt from the Health Ministry's directive if they do not develop symptoms and stay no longer than one night in a hotel near the airport. Teams will also be required to avoid close contact with locals.
Some crew members have canceled their participation in a flight to Bangkok, Thailand in fear of contracting the virus.
