Lawyers for Naama Issachar jailed in Russia on drug charges submitted a request for a pardon to Russian authorities.
Issachar was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison earlier this year however Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his visit to Israel last week, hinted to Issachar's mother that he would expedite her release.
