Blue & White on Monday sent a letter to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein informing him it’ll appeal to the High Court of Justice if he blocks a vote on electing the next Knesset speaker.
Edelstein said yesterday he would prevent Blue & White from convening the Knesset to vote on replacing him, claiming it would doom talks on a unity government between Likud and Blue & White.
The letter said that Edelstein “has no authority to stop the convening” of the Knesset and that his decision was motivated by a personal interest to remain Knesset speaker.
