The eight-part series, written by Sahar Shavit and Anat Gafni and directed by Ofir Lubel, is a psychological thriller that focuses on the rising violence in Western society. It follows both the investigation of a horrific high school shooting and provides a peek into the lives of teens and how they cope with a crime committed by their fellow students.
According to Reshet, the show, which recently finished its first season, received good ratings and announced that a second season was in the works.
Reshet VP of Content Ami Glam called the agreement with Netflix "a huge achievement for Reshet and for the Israeli television industry."

Blackspace joins a list of Israeli shows bought and adapted by other networks abroad, including the sitcom The Good Cop, psychological thriller-drama series Prisoners of War — which inspired the hit U.S. psychological-thriller series Homeland — as well as the action-drama series "Fauda".
