Former senior Shin Bet official warns political climate could lead to violence

|
A former senior security official warned on Sunday that the tense political climate was reminiscent of the days leading up to the 1995 assassination of then-prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was shot by a Jewish ultra-nationalist for pursuing a land-for-peace deal with the Palestinians.
Responding to an unusual warning from the head of Shin Bet domestic security service Nadav Argaman, former operative Arik Brabbing, known by his cover name "Harris", told the Ynet studio that "the lines are very close to being crossed... there are some who take the discourse in recent days to more dangerous places, to the point of harming people."
