The European Parliament on Thursday ratified the "open skies" deal with Israel, initially agreed upon back in 2013.
Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said: "Approval of the agreement is an important expression of the relationship between Israel and Europe, especially now that the State of Israel is facing an economic crisis following the coronavirus outbreak.”
The agreement allows any airline of the European Union and any airline of Israel to fly between any point in the European Union and any point in Israel.
