The Tel Aviv District Court ruled Sunday that the Labor Party will undergo primary elections, after the Party's outgoing leader, Amir Peretz, decided that the party's ruling body would be the one to choose the party's new leadership.
"A little over a month ago, Amir Peretz and Itzik Shmuli tried to snatch and turn the Labor Party into a dictatorship without primaries. They failed. Democracy won, truth won, justice won, we won," said Labor MK Merav Michaeli.
