Health Ministry reports 3,421 new COVID cases since midnight

The Health Ministry reported Thursday that 3,421 new coronavirus cases have been diagnosed since midnight. With some 102,000 tests conducted, the national contagion rate now stands at 3.3%.
There are currently 241 patients hospitalized in serious condition, with 51 connected to ventilators.
The death toll since the start of the pandemic stands at 6,503.
